The place and cause of anne's death.
Anne Frank died in March of 1945, 2 weeks before the Russians liberated the camps. One of the causes of Anne's' death was the conditions at Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, the place of Anne's' death. Another reason for Anne's death was that she caught typhus. Typhus is caught from sleep deprivation (after you already caught it) or disease-containing lice. Typhus is a disease that comes from unhealthy/decomposing animal cells. Anne probably caught typhus from lice that originated from a dying animal that was killed at the camp. When people get typhus they have red spots, a fever, and cant eat. Most people at the camp died within a day of getting typhus. Anne's death wasn't really recognized because she wasn't very famous when she died. Anne's sister also caught typhus and died around the same time Anne did. They were both at Bergen-Belsen and were buried together. The only person in Anne's family to live through the Russian liberation was Otto Frank (Anne's father). Shortly after Otto was released he went back to The Secret Annex and found Anne's diary.
